Dorothea Bernique

Dorothea Bernique is the host of “Faith and Finances” which airs Monday nights at 7pm weekly right here on WLCN-TV 18.  The show teaches “faith without works”  is dead concerning our finances.  Dorothea is the founder and CEO of Increasing H.O.P.E Financial Training Center (Helping Others Prosper Economically) and the author of “Kingdom Conscious Money Management”™ a powerful little book which focuses on becoming financially free in order to advance the Kingdom of God. 

For nearly a decade now, Dorothea has been teaching and training individuals on how to implement money management skills and strategies. Through the Financial Training Center www.increasinghope.org she offers financial management courses on topics ranging from budgeting and saving to retirement planning and investing. She provides financial literacy training for community businesses, schools and non-profit organizations, including the YWCA, My Sister’s House and The Center for Women. Bernique has been a guest on teleconferences for The US Department of Labor Women’s Bureau and UPLIFT Publishing Company.

Dorothea was an independent representative in Financial Services beginning in 2001 and a budget counselor/coach in the tri-county area since 1999.  She has held licenses in the state of SC as an insurance, mortgage and investment agent, and, a Register Representative of FINRA formerly known as NASD (National Association of Securities Dealer).
 
Dorothea is dedicated and committed to seeing others become educated and empowered in the area of finances especially women.    Mrs. Bernique is a business partner with schools in the local area and spends time in the classroom teaching and instructing young people.    Her time and talents are also given to local non-profit organizations as well as churches.  She spends time giving out to others whenever given the opportunity and is honored to have the opportunity to be a part of the Wi$e Up Program for Women.

Dorothea and her husband, Christopher have been married 29 years and reside in Summerville, SC.  They have two children Stephanie and Stephen and three grandchildren.
