Am I the only one tired of the constant revolving schedule?  It’s frustrating when I go to watch something like the A-team and WLCN shows something else.  I think they had a great concept when the station first started out, but now I think it’s just a mess in my opinion.  I would go buy a digital converter box to watch 18.2 (RTV) but my friends can’t get it with their boxes because the signal is so weak, so why bother?  Also, do we need a 6th local news station?  All the news is the same.  In my opinion, more people would watch “Emergency” at 6pm than more of the same news.  If I was the programming director I would put the local shows on the weekends and stick with RTV during the week.  The classic shows are already proven ratings winners.

Again, all in my opinion.

PS.  Build your base of viewers and the rest will be easy street.

Who would like to see more RTV?

I take it you are able to watch RTV 18.2?  Are you in Summerville?  I don’t know anyone in West Ashley who can watch 18.2 from their converter box.

I’m in ravenel. some nights we lose reception, but it is good most of the time.
my only real complaint is the changing of shows in the last few minutes. last night emergency was cut off in the last 15 mins. and replaced with some Sid Caesar movie. it is not the first time.

You must have a great set up.  What kind of converter box/antenna do you have?

Thanks in advance

Thanks again for the info.  I might break down and spend some money so I can watch RTV.  Like I said before, the people I know here in west ashley can’t get RTV on their converter box, so I’m worried I’ll be throwing money out the window if it doesn’t work.

I have a feeling the station would do better if they just went with 24 hour RTV.  I used to watch WLCN all the time when they had the older shows on, now I hardly watch it anymore.  I know this is just one man’s opinion but I don’t understand how they think a show trying to interest a group of maybe 5% of the population will bring in revenue.  How many of those 5% will even watch it?  Put something on everyone can watch, not these niche shows.

Just my opinion.

I am not sure who is channel 51, WLCN is channel 18.1,.2,.3 over the air, we are currently on Comcast 230 digital and 119.9 basic. also you can find us on Knology channel 98. in the next few days we will also be avaiable on Time Warner channel 155. I hope you get the chance to watch and send your thoughts to our forum page. We think we offer a great range of family programs for all ages. Thank you for your thoughts. God Bless You and come visit anytime.

Sorry about the confusion but station 51 is the fire station on Emergency. That is the picture in my last post on this thread.
