Media Report: Sen. Larry Grooms Running for Congress

Conservative.SC is reporting that Senator Larry Grooms has confirmed by telephone that he is no longer running for Governor. Instead, the website says that he has his eyes set on South Carolina's 1st Congressional Seat, currently held by U.S. Representative Henry Brown.
Tommy Hartnett, Paul Thurmond, Katherine Jenerette, State Rep. Jim Merrill and even First Lady Jenny Sanford are also listed as possible candidates in the Lowcountry Congressional race. Carroll Campbell III, son the popular former governor, announced that he was running for seat prior to Brown’s retirement.
Robert Dobbs and Robert Burton, two democrats, are also campaigning.
