Tue, November 03, 2009
CHARLESTON - The Charleston County School District announced Monday that it is working in partnership with DHEC to make vaccinations available in schools as early as Friday, November 13th. The order of school vaccination dates will be random.
The District says that Schools will be sending out information packets to parents. They will include consent forms, letters, specific dates/times, and fact sheets.
Monday night the district used its automated phone messaging system to call parents and inform them of the upcoming vaccine availability. The District is also referring "flu/vaccination specific" questions to the DHEC hotline, 1-800-277-4687. For more information, visit the H1N1 page at www.ccsdschools.com
The page includes vaccination schedules, fact sheets, and letters as they are made available.
